eBay was one of the first advertisers to utilize Imgur’s unique, native Promoted Post product, which allows advertisers to go beyond basic ads and connect with the community on a genuine level. The success of their initial campaign led to a more than 3 year partnership that encompassed over 80 ad Promoted Posts.

eBay’s mission was twofold: connect with a millennial audience that doesn’t like being advertised to, and educate said audience about eBay as a retail shopping destination (as opposed to secondhand or secondary market). I crafted a campaign that provided value to both the Imgur community and the client with educational posts such as how to build a gaming computer or deep fry a turkey, and an always-on strategy that allowed me to react quickly to trends such as Pokemon Go sweeping the nation.
